Please pray for Artsy Mama Rikki Travis as she undergoes surgery for the removal of her gall bladder and one of her ovaries tomorrow morning. The surgery will take place at MTMC.
Also, please pray for Mike Speer, husband of Artsy Mama Heather Speer, as he also undergoes surgery tomorrow morning for the removal of a massive growth that is believed to be cancer from his kidney.

Most gracious and Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear friends to you right now as they are about to face surgeries. We pray that the doctors will have wisdom and that the surgeries will go without flaw.
We thank you Lord for quick recoveries and minimal pain. We thank you Lord for neighbors, friends, and church families that will be around to help them out so that they may rest and fully recover as they heal.
We praise you Father that you are the great physician and they will see full recoveries from this surgery and there will be no need for more surgeries in the future. No sign of any cancers will be found!
These things we pray in the most matchless, precious, and Holy name of Jesus....Amen!
Thank you Mandie for posting this prayer request for my husband and Rikki. I hope everything went well for her. The surgery could not have gone better for Mike. They saved almost all of his kidney (they thought they might have to take half), there were no complications and the doctor feels certain that they were able to get all of the cancer. To whoever posted the prayer below, thank you so much. It means the world to us. Thank you God for listening to the beautiful prayer and answering.
I'm so thrilled to see our Lord at work through this organization. He is almighty and He is faithful!

HI, EVERYONE. THIS IS ACTUALLY RIKKI WRITING. MY FIRST TIME ACTUALLY UP AND ABOUT ON THE COMPUTER SINCE SUNDAY. I AM DOING OKAY. ON MONDAY, I WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL AFTER SURGERY, CAME HOME AND SLEPT PRETTY MUCH ALL NIGHT, EXCEPT FOR THE WAKE UP FOR PAIN MEDS. ON TUESDAY I HAD TROUBLE BREATHING. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO COME IN FOR CT, AND LABS TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OKAY. SO WENT IN, HAD LABS AND CT BUT SHE DECIDED TO PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL FOR OBSERVATION, TO MAKE SURE I HAD NOT FURTHER COMPLICATIONS. STEPHANIE AND ROGER PAID FOR CHARLENE TO FLY IN TUESDAY, BUT MISSED HER FLIGHT. SO, I STAYED TUESDAY NIGHT IN THE HOSPITAL AND MIKE TOOK ROBERT TO WORK WITH HIM. I CAME HOME ON WEDNESDAY EARLY EVENING. THE TROUBLE BREATHING WAS FROM THE CO2 THEY PUT IN MY STOMACH TO MAKE ROOM FOR THEM TO WORK, IT JUST MOVED UP INTO MY LUNG AREA AND PUSHED ON MY LUNGS. I TOOK PAIN MEDS LIKE CLOCK WORK WED AND THURSDAY, BUT TODAY I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE THEM AS NEEDED, NOT EVERY 4 HOURS. SO I AM GETTING BETTER. I APPRECIATE ALL THE PRAYERS AND SUPPORT. THEY HAVE WORKED.
I WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR TARA FOR KEEPING OUR CHILDREN WHILE I HAVE BEEN IN RECOVERY. TARA AND I ONLY MET ABOUT A MONTH AGO. I WAS LOOKING FOR A BABYSITTER, SHE ANSWERED THE AD. WATCH THE CHILDREN WHILE MIKE AND I WENT TO A WORK THING, AND WE BECAME INSTANT FRIENDS. GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. I NEEDED A FRIEND IN THE NEW AREA AND SO DID SHE. SHE ALSO HAD SURGERY ON TUESDAY FOR PRECANCEROUS CELLS ON HER UTERUS, AND THOUGH SHE HAS BEEN CRAMPING SHE HAS BEEN THE BEST FRIEND I COULD ASK FOR. SHE IS HERE TO GET OUR TWO OFF THE BUS, TAKE THEM BACK TO HER HOUSE, HELP WITH HOMEWORK, KEEP THE OCCUPIED, FEED THEM DINNER, AND THEN MIKE PICKS THEM UP AFTER WORK USUALLY AFTER 7 PM. SHE HAS TWO BOYS ALSO SO SHE HAS HAD ALL FIVE OF THEM RUNNING AROUND AND "DESTROYING" HER HOUSE. THANKS AGAIN, LOVE YA.
